Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) Columbia Asia Hospitals, announced that they have been chosen by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) as partners in providing medical care to travelers and other occupants of the new international airport set to become oprational from April next year.
Columbia Asia would establish a 24X7 medical care facility and a pharmacy to handle the medical care needs arising at the Bangalore International Airport. The facility would have the latest in medical equipment, technology and expertise to handle routine outdoor medical care and stabilize emergencies. In addition to this, Columbia Asia, with its partners, would provide total medical assistance in coordinating any mass casualty event or a disaster, the Hospital said in a release here.
Hospital Chairman Dr Nandakumar Jairam, commenting on the initiative said ''in line with our commitment to providing 21st Century healthcare, we have world class medical expertise, equipment and the ability to handle eventualities in case of a mass casualty or disaster''. The Hospital was happy to be associated with the Airport, he added.
