Whirlpool forays into Home UPS segment

New Delhi, Dec 12: Whirlpool India, a subsidiary of the Whirlpool Corporation, today announced its foray into Home UPS segment with the launch of 'Elantra' H - UPS priceed between Rs 7,000 and Rs 11, 000.

''Considering, power problem is prevalent in various part of the country, we have today launched 'Elantra' H - UPS, with the company's patented '6th sense' technology. The '6th sense' technology will automatically sense the level of load shedding and provide relevant remedy,'' company's Vice President (Marketing) Shantanu Das Gupta said.

Equipped with Whirlpool's patented '6th Sense' technology, Whirlpool 'Elantra' H - UPS is the inverter with auto sense intelligent control, which will provide maximum power and back up time. This technology monitors the output level and battery voltage and also corrects the Power Factor while battery charging.

The inverter also has auto reset function, which gets automatically activated in case of overload short circuit. The protection circuit feature intimates the customer in case of low battery voltage and over current conditions.

The automatic battery level management senses the increase in battery voltage at regular intervals and automatically sets the charging voltage, which helps increase the life of the battery.

'Elantra' H - UPS is available in three capacities - 600 VA, 800 VA and 1400 VA. The newly launched product comes with two years warranty and will be distributed through comapany' service partners and battery/inverter distributors across the country.
