Ayodhya, Dec 12 (UNI) The four-day 26th Ramayana Mela would begin on the banks of Saryu river here from tomorrow.
Sri Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas chairperson and Ramayana Mela Committee president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das today said the fair would commence on the auspicious occasion of the nuptial ceremony of Lord Ram and Goddess Janki.
With terror looming large after the November 23 UP serial blasts, unprecedented security arrangements had been made for 'Ram Vivah' procession on December 14, Mr Das informed.
He added the preparations for the event had been completed and security strengthened at the prominent temples here, especially the Ram Janmabhoomi Complex.
He said several religious heads, saints and seers from the country and other foreign nations would participate in the fair.
Mr Das said the main attractions of the fair would be the ''Raas leela'', religious chants and other cultural programmes by various organisations.
