Nashik, Dec 12 (UNI) As many as 70 activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Shiv Sena and Loksangram Parishad (LP) today held a 'rasta roko' agitation at Chalisgaon phata in Malegaon.
According to the sources, as many as 70 activists of the three parties held a 'rasta roko' agitation at Chalisgaon phata on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway No 3 this morning, demanding Manmmad-Indore railway route via Malegaon.
The protest was led by MNS Malegaon president Sunil Gaikwad.
Both MNS and Shiv Sena joined hands with LP for the protest under the leadership of former MLA Anil Gote.
All the agitators were arrested and later released on bail. A case has been registered under Sections 341, 41 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) with the Malegaon taluka police station.
