Mirwaiz Hurriyat to launch fresh campaign for Mush formula

Srinagar, Dec 12 (UNI) The moderate Hurriyat Conference, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, today decided to launch a fresh campaign to create further public awareness about Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's four-point formula to resolve the Kashmir issue.

The decision was taken at an extra-ordinary meeting of the moderate Hurriyat Conference at its Raj Bagh headquarters here.

The meeting, presided over by the Mirwaiz, was attended by all Executive Committee and General Council members.

Among those present at the meeting were Prof Abdul Ghani Bhat, Bilal Ghani Lone, Agha syed Hassan Al Moosavi and Fazl Haq Qureshi.

The meeting discussed threadbare the overall political and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The moderate Hurriyat leaders urged the Centre to pave the way for resolving the long-festering Kashmir issue by reciprocatin Mr Musharraf's four-point formula.
