Land laws in unauthorises colonies simiplified

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) Delhi Urban Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan today said the state government had simplified laws with regard to provision of basic facilities and furthering developmental work in the unauthorised colonies.

As per the new simplified laws notified by Delhi Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna, all lands in respect of which awards have been given and landowners recieved compensation as well as those in which awards have been given but landowners have not taken the compensation, will be considered land under acquisition proceedings.

Mr Chauhan said the new guidelines pave the way for provision of basic facilities like power, water, sanitation and roads in all colonies except those situated on Government land.

He said he had written to all MLAs in whose areas these unauthorised colonies fall to contact the concerned departments for speeding up process of providing basic facilities in these colonies.
