Haryana Dairy Co-op makes record procurement

Chandigarh, Dec 12 (UNI) The Haryana Dairy Development Co-operative Federation Limited has achieved a new record by procuring 8.09 lakh litres of milk through its village level Co-operative Societies on December 11.

Stating this here today, Haryana Dairy Development co-operative Federation Limited, Mr Dhanpat Singh said the previous highest level of milk procurement was 7.80 lakh litres per day on December 23.

He said if this trend continued, the Federation would be able to achieve milk procurement of nine lakh litres per day.

The Managing Director said this unprecedented achievement had been possible by paying better milk procurement price and strengthening organisational structure at field level.

The Federation had 5,900 village level co-operative societies throughout the state with 1,22,000 milk farmers supplying milk through these societies, he added.
