Governor holds meet on physically challenged

Bangalore, Dec 12 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today said physically challenged were an integral part of the mainstream society and should be provided with equal opportunities.

Mr Thakur was addressing a high-level meeting on the demands put forth before the government by institutions working to better the living conditions of the physically challenged.

Providing reservation to physically challenged persons in recruitment to all 99 Departments of the government and issuing bus pass to them were the main subjects of discussion in the meeting, a statement said here today.
