Former minister along with three others get life imprisonment

Nawada, Dec 12 (UNI) A local fast track court of Justice Vijay Shankar Pathak today awarded life imprisonment to former Bihar Animal Husbandry Minister Aaditya Singh and three others in connection with a murder case.

The three others, who were awarded life imprisonment, were Narsingh Singh, Tarun Singh and Mukesh Singh.

Earlier, the court had exonerated two other accused Arjun Singh and Niranjan Singh for want of sufficient evidence and had reserved the verdict on quantum of punishment for those found guilty till today.

According to the charges, Lallan Singh Mukhiya of Shakarpura, under Akbarpur police station of the district, was shot dead by the convicted persons on January six, 2006.

Altogether nine persons, including the former minister, were accused in the case.
