Father of accused booked for negligence in Gurgaon shootout

Gurgaon, Dec 12 (UNI) Police today registered a case of negligence against the absconding father of one of the two school children who shot dead their classmate Abhishek Tyagi in the prestigious Euro International School here.

The case was filed against Azad Yadav under sections 25, 45 and 59 of The Arms Act, police said.

Fourteen-year-old eighth class student Abhishek Tyagi, son of property dealer Rajinder Tyagi, was killed by Aakash and Vikas who fired five bullets at him from close range in the school premises yesterday.

Meanwhile, the parents of both the boys were missing and police teams were dispatched to their ancestral villages to search for them.

Besides, both Aakash and Vikas were sent to 14-day judicial custody at the Faridabad Juvenile Home, police added.

The school, situated in Sector 45 of the DLF Colony, was closed for two days.

The school principal Mamata Sharma blamed the parents of the two accused for being irresponsible and exposing them to weapons at home.

Haryana Eucation Minister Mangeram Gupta has assured to set up a committee to inquire into how the situation reached such a crescendo that the two school boys were compelled to commit the juvenile crime.

The Committee would also question the school principal and the culprits would be punished, he added.
