Court orders Kushboo to be present before Feb 26

Palani Hills, Tamil Nadu, Dec 12 (UNI) The Judicial Magistrate Court, Palani has ordered Kollywood actress Kushboo Sundar to present before the court before February 26 next, to give an explanation about her action of defiling place of worship by sitting cross-legged wearing foot-wear in front of 'Mupperum Deviyar' idols at a recent function in Chennai.

With several cases of disrespecting Hindu Gods already pending, one more case was filed against the controversial actress by Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) Dindigul district Convener Sivakumar, for hurting the sentiments of crores of Hindus He filed the religious offence case against the actress under sections 295 and 295 (A) of IPC for hurting religious sentiments of many Hindus by tarnishing the place of worship.

Admitting the petition, the Judicial Magistrate court ordered the actress to present before the court, before February 26 next to give an explanation.
