West Zone Inter University hockey kicks off from Dec 15

Jaipur, 11 Dec (UNI) As many as 34-team including defending champion Barkatullah University, (Bhopal) and runners-up host Rajasthan University will be seen in action in the West Zone Inter University Hockey tournament, which will begin from December 15 to 19 at the Rajasthan University sports complex and commerce college.

Bhupendra Singh Rathore-secretary Rajasthan University sports board told the newsperson today that 600-player from the 34 teams would start to come here from December 13 evening.

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Rajasthan and some part of Uttar Pradesh includes in the west zone, he added.

He said that Olympian Gurbaksh Singh and international player Daljinder Singh would also be come on the occasion. 14-match would to played on the opening day.

Rajasthan university has announced its team for the championship, which would be led by Kuldeep Singh.
