today
forayed
into
the
Indian
market
and
will
create
new
Internet
Protocol
(IP)
technologies
for
businesses.
''In this country we will draw on the local, highly-skilled pool of engineers to create new IP-based applications for businesses,'' Wesley Clover International Chairman Terry Metthews told reporters.
The company's operation in India will focus on all verticals, including hospitality, transporatation, healthcare, professional services and retail.
The Indian arm, Welsley Clover Solutions Pvt Ltd (WCSPL), will invest in research development and support services to develop applications for the solutions from associated companies both in the country and across the world.
Replying to a question, Mr Metthews said the company was also planning acquisitions in the software development space by early next year in the country.
WCSPL will be based in Gurgaon and it is also planning to open five to six offices across the country over a period of one year.
Wesley Clover International is an investor and manager of investments in technology, real-estate and leisure industries. The company's technology investments are targeted and focussed at next-generation networking and telecommunications.
