Rohtak to have Specialised Therapy Centre of AYUSH

Chandigarh, Dec 11 (UNI) A specialised Therapy Centre of Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) will be set up at Pt B D Sharma Post-graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak.

While announcing this today, Haryana Health Minister Kartar Devi said the State government would also provide services of Panchkarma Therapy in the Government Institute of Indian System of Medicine and Research, Panchkula.

The State government had opened six new government ayurvedic and homoeopathic dispensaries so far during this financial year and the process was on to open nine more such dispensaries so as to expand the network of such institutions in the State, she said.

Ms Kartar Devi said five new ayurvedic dispensaries were opened in villages namely Milkkhas in Yamunanagar district, Assan, Naya Bans and Kharka in Rohtak district and Safipur in Jhajjar district. A homoeopathic dispensary had also been set up at Jat Dharamshala in Kurukshetra.

She said Speciality Clinics of AYUSH had been set up in civil hospitals at Gurgaon, Hisar and Ambala and Specialised Therapy Centre had also been established at civil hospital, Jind with financial assistance of Rs 52 lakh released by the Central government for the purpose.
