Rampant Corruption in KSRTC: P T Thomas
Kottayam, Dec 11 (UNI) Congress Leader P T Thomas today alleged rampant corruption in Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), particularly in the purchase of 1,000 buses, opening up of nationalised routes to the private sector and the move to grant permit to 100 private operators on inter-state routes.
At a news conference here, Mr Thomas pointed out that the existence of the KSRTC was in danger and demanded immediate release of a White Paper on the organisation's affairs.
The LDF Government was destroying the KSRTC. It had not only cancelled the existing services but had also not started even a single new service, he claimed.
Mr Thomas asked LDF Convenor Vaikom Viswan to reveal the facts behind the shift from his earlier stance that the private operators would not be allowed on nationalised routes.
