NIT to hold conference on harbour, ocean engineering
Mangalore, Dec 11 (UNI) National Institute of Technology (NIT), Suratkal, and New Mangalore Port Trust will conduct a two-day National Conference on harbour and ocean engineering here from tomorrow.
The objective of the conference was to focus on the latest achievements in harbour and ocean engineering, NIT Director Sandeep Sancheti told reporters here today.
The conference would provide a platform for holding discussion on the problems affecting the sector and recommend guidelines on critical aspects to planners and decision makers, he said.
As many as 150 delegates from different parts of the country and some delegates from Canada, Japan, Korea and New Zealand were attending the conference, he added.
