Kottayam, Dec 11 (UNI) Kerala Congress Aikyavedi (KCA) Chairman K M Mani today came down heavily on the CPI(M) led LDF government for the present situation in the state.
Talking to newspersons here after the KCA's first meeting, he said the state faced a serious situation under the CPI(M) regime.
Non-availability of 'Aravana Prasadam' at Sabarimala and lack of adequate facilities to worship was tantamount to ridiculing devotees.
He alleged that this was for the first time in the history of Sabarimala that such a situation had developed. Government and Travancore Devaswom Board had totally 'failed' to provide facilities at the hill shrine.
He said the KCA would fight for the cause of the farmers and people of the state.
In protest against the anti people policies of the government and price hike, the party would stage a dharna before the collectorate on January 5, he said, adding, similar dharnas would be staged at Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Ernakulam later.
