Chandigarh, Dec 11 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai today stressed the need for imparting qualitative education to the students and exhorted the parents to send their wards to schools so that they could get good education.
The Governor was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a large Health Fair organized at village Taharpur in Yamunanagar district today.
Dr Kidwai said that for the progress and prosperity of the society it was imperative to give more thrust to education as after getting education the poor people could enhance their social and economic status.
He expressed happiness that Haryana State was giving more thrust on the promotion of education and health and this was the only reason that all round development of the State had been ensured.
The Governor said that new avenues of progress had been opened in the state for employment generation. The Haryana Government was also committed for the development of the villages at par with the urban areas.
He stressed the need to impart technical education to the students so that state could made rapid progress in future.
Dr Kidwai said that India had emerged a leading country in the world by making rapid progress. ''Haryana is one of the most developed States in the country and this credit goes to the Haryana Government,'' he asserted.
He said that every citizen of the state was getting benefit of the health facilities at their doorsteps.
