Govt to create more job opportunities in technical education
Visakhapatnam, Dec 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Technical Education Minister R Chenga Reddy today said more job opportunities would be created in technical education in the state.
Addressing the Medico Conference here, he said workers should be trained properly and imparted with necessary skills for maximum output.
Mr Reddy said the government realised the importance of skilled workforce and was addressing the exigency of the situation in right earnest. India is the only country in the world, producing a large number of engineers, technical mechanics, doctors and nurses, he added.
The minister said the government initiated steps to encourage industries to train the workforce in a phased and fine-tuned manner.
He said Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has assured an allotment of Rs 100 crore in the coming budget for infrastructure facilities, polytechnic and Information Technology.
