New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) Customs and Excise revenues together registered a growth rate of 11.7 per cent from April-November, 2007, with customs collections growing by a hefty 17.2 per cent and excise revenues growing modertaley by 7.5 per cent.
Customs and excise revenue stood at Rs 14,1851 crores during April- November, 2007, with excise revenue at Rs 75,013 crore and customs revenue figure at Rs 66,838 crores.
For the month of November,2007, y-on-y the growth of customs was 15.8 per cent, excise at 5.3 per cent and the combined average growth stood at ten per cent.
Service tax revenue from April- October 2007 recorded a robust growth of 35.3 per cent. The figure for service tax during the period was of the order of Rs 25,420 crore.
During the month of October service tax collection was Rs 3,611 crores, recording a growth rate of 29.2 per cent y-on-y.
Customs collections growth for October, 2007, was 17.4 per cent, while excise recorded a growth rate of 7.5 per cent.
Indirect taxes (customs, excise and service tax) registered a growth rate of 15.4 per cent with the relevant figure standing at Rs 14,8201 crores.
