Puducherry, Dec 11 (UNI) AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan today urged Chief Minister N Rangasamy to make public his stand on the JIPMER Bill which was referred back to the Cabinet by the Rajya Sabha.

Addressing the press here, Mr Anbazhagan said Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss of the PMK avoided several points, including the continuation of free treatment and quota for locals in MBBS course and introduced the Bill in the Rajya Sabha thereby attempting to ''cheat'' the people of Puducherry.

Lambasting PMK Parliamentary Party Leader M Ramadass for criticising him, Mr Anbazhagan said he did not know what about the debate in the Rajya Sabha.

But based on newspaper reports and the Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi's statement, it was the first time in the history of the Rajya Sabha, a bill was being withdrawn.

The people would teach the PMK a fitting lesson in the next elections for twisting the facts aired by the people here, before the Parliamentary Standing Committee, he added.

He also asked the administration to seek 50 per cent reservation in JIPMER similar to the demands made from the private medical colleges.
