Panaji, Dec 10 (UNI) The Task Force on drafting the Regional Plan-2021 would submit its interim report, by January 15 next to the Goa Government, on the inclusion or otherwise of the Special Economic Zones in the state, according to Chief Minister Digambar Kamat here today.
Interacting with media persons, Mr Kamat said that the Cabinet Sub-committee would examine the report and take suitable decision on the SEZs which was attracted stiff opposition from several NGOs and the opposition parties recently.
The Government had even ordered suspension of related works at Verna and Keri even as it ordered a magisterial probe into vandalism at the Rajiv Gandhi IT Habitat in Dona Paula.
He said, he was yet to initiate dialogue with Taleigao legislator and former minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate and the panchayat members on the Habitat issue.
He would do so shortly after getting the report from the Chief Secretary and clarify the doubts of the opponents of the Habitat.
