Yamunanagar, Dec 10 (UNI) Haryana Urban Development Minister A C Chaudhary today said former chief minister Bhajan Lal had allowed himself to ''become blinded by the love of his son''.
Interacting with newsmen here, Mr Chaudhary, once a close confidant of Mr Lal, however, opined that the fact that the former chief minister himself did not give a speech at the launch of the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) at Rohtak to be headed by Kuldeep Bishnoi, could be indicative that he did not really want to severe ties with Congress and could come back.
''In case Mr Lal decides to come-back, I will stoutly support his home-coming,'' he asserted.
Mr Chaudhary, who is also holding the portfolio for Technical Education, announced that a polytechnic would be soon opened in this district.
He also said the Congress government had allocated over four-times more budget for ITIs and polytechnics and had upgraded government-run educational institutions with the modern facilities so that the students were able to compete well in the job market. ''This will begin yielding good results within six months,'' he asserted adding that in this regard, the state government had also made English language class compulsory at least once a week in vocational training institutes like ITIs.
