Bangalore, Dec 10 (UNI) Playing down the 'sledging' incident that led to the fall of Momammed Yousuf, Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik said it was not the reason for the dismissal of the senior batsman.
Talking to newspersons after the third day's play of the third and final Test between India and Pakistan here, Malik said, ''Such incidents keep happening in a cricket match.
I don't think Yousuf got out due to lapse of concentration. This was not a serious incident. We better forget it.'' Malik, who was sidelined from the last two Tests due to an ankle injury, said the team's aim was to save the match and the first thing they want to ensure is to avoid the follow on tomorrow.
''You cannot predict the outcome of this match. There is still two days left,'' he said.
Dissapointed over the fitness problems faced by the team, the skipper said the players should concentrate more on their fitness levels and should always ''prove it on the field''.
