Huge procession on eve of Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom anniversar

New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) A huge procession was today carried out in the city on the eve of the death anniversary of the Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Organised by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, the procession started from the Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Chandni Chowk at 1000 hrs, passing through Nai Sarak, Chawri Bazar, Ajmeri Gate, Deshbandhu Gupta Road, Connaught Place and Pandit Pant Marg, and finally terminated at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.

School children participated in the procession performing with their colourful bands. The president of the DSGMC, Paramjit Singh Sarna and its general secretary Balbir Singh were also present in the procession.

The procession led to blockage of traffic in several areas of Old Delhi and central Delhi in the morning hours. Infact, office goers having their workplaces in and around the Connaught Place, Parliament Street and Old Delhi areas had a tough time reaching their offices.
