Former Health Director compulsorily retired
Bhopal, Dec 10 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Director (Health) Yogiraj Sharma, who was suspended after being found in possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, has been compulsorily retired.
Official sources said the order to this effect was issued today.
Unaccounted wealth worth several crores of rupees was unearthed during a recent raid by the Income Tax department. Dr Sharma has been compulsorily retired in order to drive home point that strict action would be taken against officials involved in corrupt practices.
Dr Sharma was regarded as one of the brilliant officers. His stature rose during the previous Congress regime but was maintained during the BJP rule.
