DNA likely to be conducted on criminal Nirmal Kotharia

Kanpur, Dec 10 (UNI) Police today decided to carry out DNA test on notorious criminal 'Nirmal Kotharia', who was gunned down in an encounter, here yesterday.

DIG Brij Bhushan today said ''DNA would be conducted on outlaw Nirmal Kotharia for confirmation.'' Meanwhile, an aged Keshav Baba had alleged that police had gunned down his son Pappu Kushvaha, thinking him to be wanted criminal Nirmal, on November 12, 2003.

Keshav has demanded to book the guilty policemen for murdering his son.

History-sheeter Nirmal Kotharia was shot dead when he was absconding after targetting two people at village Lata Mubarakpur here yesterday.

A pistol and a large number of cartridges were recovered from his possession.
