Tirupati, Dec 10(UNI) Hundreds of devotees witnessed the procession of goddess Padmavathi on the fifth day of the nine-day Karthika Brahmotsavam festival here today.
The Idol of goddess seated on palanquin and decorated with flowers was taken in a procession through four mada streets of the temple, where the devotees offered 'aarthi' and broke coconuts.
Women devotees sang and played 'Kolattam', while the men performed bhajans during the procession.
After performing Unjal Seva to goddess in the evening, she will be taken in a procession on Gaja(elephant) Vahanam.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) Executive Officer K V Ramanachary and Deputy Executive Officer, A P Narayana, were among others, who participated in the procession.
