Panaji, Dec 10 (UNI) The BJP today strongly protested the short assembly session, from January 10 to 18 next, as it would not give an opportunity to members to discuss burning issues like the anti-SEZ movement, alleging failure of the Digambar Kamat government on all fronts, including law and order.

Interacting with mediapersons, the BJP opposition leader Mr Manohar Parrikar said virtually there would be only a few days left for debating the issues, facing the state, and government business with a few days spent on motion of thanks to the Governor's address and private members resolutions.

He said the BJP would, however, try to highlight all the problems during the short session. ''The government has no guts to hold longer sessions as it can not confront slew of problems and the opposition in the House'', he alleged.

The party would continue to oppose the proposed SEZs in the state and agitate till its conclusion, he added.
