Army chief on a seven-day visit to India
Kathmandu, Dec 10: Nepal Chief of Army Staff General Rookmangud Katawal left for India on a formal invitation by his Indian counterpart Deepak Kapoor.
According to a statement issued by Directorate of Public Relations of the Nepali Army, General Katawal will visit Indian Military Academy in Dehradun and Gorkha Rifles Regiment during his seven-day visit.
President Pratibha Devisingh Patil is to confer on Katawal the title of honorary General of the Indian Army, it said.
