Varanasi, Dec 9 (UNI) Panic prevailed among audience, following a bomb scare inside a cinema hall in Dashashwamedh area of the holy city today.
Soon after police received an anonymous call, the hall was vacated. However, nothing incriminating was recovered by the bomb disposal squad.
Earlier in the day, panic gripped aboard the Delhi-Puri Neelanchal Express, owing to a bomb hoax in the lavatory of one of its coaches.
The train was halted at Etawah railway station around 1200 hrs and the unclaimed bag was searched by the civil police and government railway police sleuths.
However, the district and railway authorities heaved a sigh of relief, since the bag only contained clothes and nothing incriminating was found.
The train resumed its onward journey after about half-hour, sources informed.
A similar commotion was witnessed at Prayag Railway Station, Allahabad late last evening, when an unclaimed bag was found aboard the Durg Express.
Its search also revealed that it only contained clothes.
