Three-day jewellery fair inaugurated

Vijayawada, Dec 8: Leading Bollywood and Tollywood actress Gowri Munjal inaugurated a three-day 'Vijayawada Gold and Diamond Jewellery Fair-2007', organised by the Aditi Event Management here today.

Talking to newspersons on the occasion Aditi Event Management CEO K S Krishna Mohan said the event would facilitate the people of coastal Andhra Pradesh to buy jewellery for wedding and festive seasons here instead of travelling to Chennai and Hyderabad.

The city was hosting the event for the fourth consecutive year, he said, adding, the event would also facilitate business interaction between retailers of these regions and wholesalers from different parts of the country.

Jewellers from Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Vijayawada and Guntur would participate in the mega event offering a variety of designs, he said.

There would be four lucky draws every day in which jewellery worth Rs 20,000 would be given to the winners.

A bumper prize worth Rs 15,000 would be given away through a lucky draw on the concluding day. All visitors irrespective of whether they purchase jewellery or not were eligible for all the lucky draws, he added.
