Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) Another disappointing performance by Mahindra United on their home turf saw promoted Viva Kerala snatch a point with a goalless draw in the I-League encounter at the Cooperage here today.
With this draw, Mahindra United now have three points from four games, while Viva Kerala have five points from the same number of games.
Mahindra United had the better of exchanges in the match but they could not translate it into goals.
The home team missed a couple of glit edge changes which proved to be the difference between three points and a point.
Viva Kerala defended well and kept the Mahindra forward at bay with the play restricted to mid-field. Mahindra tried their best to storm down the rival defence, but were frustrated on each occasion.
The closest Mahindra United came to scoring was in the 73rd minute, when substitute Surobjit Bose's shot from close range hit the right post and fell out of harm's way.
Viva Kerala had no chances to speak for as they were contended in not conceding a goal, the objective they achieved in the end and took away a point from this match.
