Fali Nariman releases 'War for truth' book

Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) Eminent jurist Fali S Nariman released a book, 'War for Truth', written by Pankaj Phadnis here today.

Speaking at a function, Mr Nariman said the book gives an insight about the past things that one might not have thought about.

The jurist said the quest of history is to actually find out what people said was true or not, and added that the book raises many issues and questions the beliefs that have been held over the years.

Earlier, Mr Phadnis, in his opening remarks, cited the reasons why he thought of coming out with the book and the issues he raised -- from the last Mughal Emperpor Bahadurshah Zafar to the formation of the Republic of India -- in it.

The book is published by Abhinav Bharat, a Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) founded by Veer Savarkar in 1905.

The author has plans to come out with three more thought-provoking books soon.
