Jaipur, Dec 8 (UNI) The Congress today termed the four-year-old Vasundhara Raje government in the state as a 'failure' on all fronts and asked the Governor to intervene to bring relief to the common man.
The Congress workers organsied dharna and demonstrations in all the 200 Assembly segments coinciding with the completion of four years of the ''anti people policies and programmes' of the BJP government in the state.
The Congress in a memorandum submitted to Governor S K Singh asked him to give guidelines to the government to bring relief to the common people reeling under the 'misrule' of the BJP regime in the last four years.
The Congress alleged that the law and order situation was worse with atrocities on women, dalits, minorities and tribals on the rise. The government machinery was neck deep in corruption while the state was witnessing protracted social and caste conflict. While the education and health sectors were stagnant, social fabric was under tremendous stress with one caste being used against the other in settling disputes, it alleged.
The Congress said that while the condititon of the farmers had deteriorated the youth were faced with disappointment due to growing unemployment.
The Congress also accused the BJP government of hampering the decentralisation of grassroot level democratic institutions by weakening the local self - governing institutions, panchayati raj bodies and cooperative movement while the government spent huge amount for the luxury of the people in power.
