Vijender Gupta for strengthening 'teacher-student' tradition
New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) Chairman of the MCD Standing Committee Vijender Gupta today called for strengthening the 'Guru-Shishya' (teacher-student) tradition among children at the primary school level to build strong relationships in the society.
Speaking at the annual day function of Sooraj Kanya Vidyalaya here, the oldest Girls school in the country, Mr Gupta said it was school education that decided the future course of children's lives, while the 'Guru-Shishya' tradition influenced the other aspects of their lives.
For the best welfare and development of children, the teachers too should strive to develop an atmosphere whereby the children's impressionable minds could be prepared for competition at the international level as only the ideal education could lead to the country's all-round development, he added.
