Kottayam, Dec 7: The 25th Akhila Bharatha Sreemath Bhagavatha Sathram will be held at Kurichithanam Poothrukkovil temple here from December 23 to 30.
At a news conference here yesterday, Sathram Organising Committee Chairman Babu Namboodiri, Legislator K M Mani and other leaders said elaborate arrangements have been made for the Sathram.
The Sathram was dedicated to giving discourses from Bhagavatham.
It was one of the holy texts being recited at Naimisharanyam in Uttar Pradesh and was brought to Sree Padmanabha temple, Thiruvananthapuram, and would be carried to Kurichithanam in 'Grandharatham'.
The idol of Lord Krishna to be worshipped at the Sathravedi would be brought from Udupi Sri Krishna temple by 'Vaishnavaratham', covering 101 temples on the way, they said.
Udupi Pejawar mutt seer Visweswara Theertha Swami, Uthradom Thirunal Padmanabha Dasa Marthanda Varma Maharaja and Bhagavatha Hamsam Bramasree Malliyoor Sankaran Namboodiri would light the Bhadra Deepam.
