Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) Spirituality helps to promote moral, ethical and social values among all sections of the people, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said today.
Reviewing the arrangements for the three-phased state-wide 'Bhakti Chaitanya Yatra' to be kick started on December 20 here, he appreciated the multifarious activities initiated by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in this regard and said such 'yatras' arouse the spiritual and devotional concern in the nook and corner of the state.
Dr Reddy directed the TTD authorities to meticulously plan all arrangements and take steps to ensure drinking water, toilet and other facilities on the route of the 'yatra'.
TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy, who was also present on the occasion, said as part of 'Dharma Pracharam', the 'yatra' would start at Srivari Padalu of Alipiri on December 20 and would pass through several districts in three different chariots.
The 'yatra' would take four to five months to conclude, and would return to Tirumala.
