Minister assures more LPG for Mizofed area
Aizawl, Dec 7 (UNI) Mizoram Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister K Sangthuama today ordered the release of more cooking gas from the Mizofed agent for public distribution.
The Mizofed area Village Councils (VCs) had earlier threatened to go on a mass resignation agitation.
However, the misunderstanding between the gas agent and the VCs was amicably resolved in a meeting between representatives of the VCs and the minister at the latter's office yesterday.
The minister ordered that a truckload of gas cylinders be distributed to the customers of Mizofed area from today.
Mr Sangthuama further assured systematic and sufficient distribution of LPG in the future and called for cooperation from the VCs in this regard.
