Microsoft introduces new domain for India

Mumbai, Dec 7: Microsoft India has introduced a new email domain, @live.in, for India as a part of its worldwide roll out of new country-specific live domains.

''Live.in opens up a whole new set of possible names so customers have a new opportunity to sign up for an ID name they really want,'' said Samir Saraiya, Product Head - Windows Live Services.

The new domain will be a default domain address for users signing up for Windows Live or individual services like Windows Live Hotmail or Windows Live Messenger and will run on Windows Live Hotmail platform.

The domain will offer an increased storage of upto five GB, access to Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Spaces as well as the next generation of Windows Live services, stated a company release.
