Kirsten arrives to witness natural game of his new wards
Bangalore, Dec 7 (UNI) Newly appointed Team India Coach Gary Kirsten arrived here this evening to have a first glimpse of the performance of his new wards during the third and final test against Pakistan beginning here tomorrow.
The former South African opener, who will take charge of the team in March next year told newsmen on his arrival that we wanted to watch the natural game of the Indian Players.
He said it was a great honour to take up the coaching offer from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Replying to a question, Kirsten said that " I dont want to put any plans now. I will stay for three days during which, besides watching the game, will gather input from other sources and interact with the players".
He said that he would be travelling to Australia along with the Indian team which begins tour schedule from December 20 for four test and ODIs.
To another question, Kirsten said that " ofcourse i will miss my family during my tour, however, they will be joining me after return from Australia.
Stating
that
mental
game
is
also
important
for
cricketers,
he
said
that
he
would
give
more
importance
in
developing
mental
fitness
of
the
players
during
his
coaching.
"Besides,
I
want
to
have
my
own
supporting
staff
and
this
would
be
implemented
after
my
