Karthika Brahmotsavam at Tiruchanoor

Tirupati, Dec 7 (UNI) The processional deity of Goddess Padmavathi was placed on the imposing 'Peddasesha Vahanam' and taken out of the temple on the second day of nine-day annual Karthika Brahmotsavam of Sri Padmavathi Temple at Tiruchanoor, near here, today.

Adorned with costly jewellery, the deity was taken around the four mada streets of the temple between 0800 hrs and 0930 hrs, which was witnessed by a large number of devotees.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer K V Ramanachary, Joint Executive Officer (JEO) Srikanth and other TTD officials participated.

During the procession, women devotees played 'Kolattam' while men performed 'bhajans.' Later in the evening, the idol of the goddess would be placed on the 'Hamsa Vahanam' and taken through the four mada streets.
