Karan Kadam leads table

By Staff

Bangalore, Dec 7 (UNI) Karan Kadam of Team TVS, leading the table with 182 championship points, is looking to seize his maiden title by winning the final leg of MRF National Motocross in the final on December 9.

Teenaged Kadam, who entered the racing field at the age of 13 had participated in Asian Motocross events and now leads his rivals by a long way after four legs.

Speaking to newspersons he said that his main opponent was his colleague C S Santosh whose tryst with bad luck seemed to carry on through the third and fourth legs of the Championship. Santosh is lying in the third place with 145 points, while Yogesh Barjuje, also of Team TVS, is second with 154 points.

TVS Racing General Manager (R and D) Arvind Pangaonkar said Team TVS was all set to sweep top honours in the final leg on Sunday and the boys are looking forward for the event to be held at the newly developed track.

He said he expected a keen battle for supremacy between him, Santosh and Yogesh in the Foreign Open Class. Kadam having almost secured the top spot for himself said that the novice class would also see tough fight between TVS Racing's Arvind and privateer Pinkesh Thakkar, who had a wafer think two-point lead.

Mr Pangaonkar said, ''we expect this to be a cracker of a final with Karan Kadam determined to capitalise on his lead and bag the championship. Santosh too would be eager to catch up and overtake his nearest rival.'' UNI MSP RS GKT RAR RK1938
