Hrithik off to Singapore for 6 week knee treatment
Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has flown to Singapore for six week treatment and recuperation of his knee.
Owing to some action packed performances in Krrish and Dhoom 2 last year, Hrithik had torn the ligament in his right knee. In spite of his doctor's advice to avoid strenuous movements or exercise, Hrithik completed the painstaking training, travelling, shooting - required for his forthcoming Ashutosh Gowarikar's film Jodhaa Akbar.
In an informal interaction with the media recently on the eve of his departure, Hrithik said, ''While working towards fulfilling my commitments to all my work - endorsements and film, I did not much care about my knee pain and neglected my doctor's advise to not put any stress on it and take complete rest if I wanted it to heal.'' ''However, going by the present condition, I think it's best to take a break for six weeks and recuperate fully rather than stretch it further to the point of non-repair,'' the actor said.
''I am giving my health a prior importance now, so that none of my further committment suffer in the near future'', added the star.
