MP Heritage Meet in Bhopal on Dec 17
Gwalior, MP, Dec 7: Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Tourism Tukojirao Puar has said a meeting of heritage holders and investors will be organised in the Bhopal on December 17.
The meeting has been organised by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.
Mr Puar, who was here to take part in the 'bhoomi poojan' programme of Mitawali Padhawali road here, told newspersons that certain assets of the MPSDC that are incurring loss, would be leased out to private people.
Replying to a question, he declined that there was any proposal for tourism police.
Mr Puar said the government had made a provision of Rs 28 crore lto encourage sports. Sportspersons, especially in rural areas would be encouraged.
He said water sports would be promoted in the state. A proposal for starting a cruise boat from Tawa dam in Itarsi and in Omkareshwar was being mooted.
He added that approximately Rs eight crore would be spent for making lighting arrangements at archaeological sites.
