New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) GoAir today announced that all its Fog-destination flights will be flown by CAT-III compliant pilots.

GoAir, which requires eight sets of CAT III compliant flying crew daily, will have 12 sets ready with each set consisting of one CAT III compliant Pilot-In-Command (PIC) and one CAT III compliant Co-Pilot, the airline statement said.

CAT-III A operation requires flying in 200 metres of visibility, and CAT-III B in 50 metres. Only Air India has most of its pilots trained to fly in CAT-III B conditions.

As part of its other customer service initiatives, GoAir will also ensure that in case of fog-related flight delays beyond a specified duration, the airline will provide snacks and refreshments to passengers. It will also make arrangement for adequate supply of food and refreshments to passengers in case of any fog-related emergency.

''We have also installed a special fog helpline to reply to all our passengers' queries and issues relating to the fog condition and impact,'' GoAir Managing Director Jeh Wadia said.

The helpline can be accessed through the airline's customer care service on 1800-222-111 and 9223222111.

The airline will also have a dedicated desk to handle all queries and customer grievances related to the fog situation.
