Fardeen to remain present in court on Dec 10

Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) A local court here today directed Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan to present himself before the court on Monday in a drugs case.

Fardeen was arrested in 2001 by the officers of the Anti Narcotics Cell for allegedly trying to buy one gram of cocaine from a pedlar.

The actor, who is presently away in America for a film shooting, had through his lawyer informed the court earlier that he had lost his passport and, so, could not attend the case proceedings.

The Anti Narcotics Cell, however, had contended that the actor was just making excuses in order to avoid appearing before the court.

Taking cognisance of the Anti Narcotics Cell's application, additional sessions judge P N Deshmukh directed Fardeen Khan to present himself before the court on December 10.
