Patna, Dec 7 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi today called upon the RJD legislators to expose the failures of Nitish Kumar government in both Houses of the state legislature during its winter session.
Addressing the RJD legislative party meeting here, Ms Rabri Devi exhorted the legislators to raise the issues of public importance during the current session and expose the failures of the NDA government on all fronts, including improvement in law and order in the state.
'' The Nitish Kumar government was only engaged in political gimmicks by making tall announcements of providing jobs to unemployed and attracting investments from big industrial houses in Bihar to push it on fast track of development and prosperity,'' Ms Rabri Devi said adding the ground level situation continued to remain unchanged.
The NDA government was leaving no stone unturned to present a rosy picture of its achievements through full page advertisements in leading newspapers, she alleged.
'' The glaring example of the failures of NDA government was evident from the fact that Bihar had slipped from 20th to 16-17th position in the index of the states prepared on the basis of several reference points, including the law and order situation, education, health and other infrastructural facilities,'' she pointed out.
The leader of the opposition also castigated the Nitish Kumar government for its failures to rectify the BPL list despite firm assurance given by the government earlier in this regard in both Houses of the state legislatures.
Charging Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with 'callousness' in providing succour to the flood victims, she said when almost the entire north Bihar was reeling under a spate of floods, Mr Kumar chose to visit Mauritius.
