Shimla, Dec 7 (UNI) In a bid to out do the other, the Congress today organized five public meetings in different parts of Himachal Pradesh and launched stinging attack on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks on Sohrabuddin' fake encounter.
Congress organized simultaneous rallies at five different locations across the state with Union Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anand Sharma addressing a rally at Amb in Una district, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Meera Kumar at Balh in Mandi district, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Sujanpur Tira in Hamirpur district, Sachin Pilot and former Punjab deputy CM Rajinder Bhattal at Nalagarh in Solan district and senior party leader Satpal Maharaj at Nerva in Shimla district.
Addressing a rally at Amb, Mr. Sharma termed Mr Modi as Nathu Ram Godse, assassin of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi's, ''waris'' (heir).
He said both the Gujarat Chief Minister and the RSS were ''anti-secular and anti-national''.
Launching a frontal attack on Mr. Modi for his comments on Sohrabuddin fake encounter, he said the contest in the Himachal Pradesh elections was between the ideologies represented by Mahatma Gandhi and Nathu Ram Godse.
