Jalandhar, Dec 6 (UNI) Punjab government would soon form a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the marketing of the agricultural products not only in the state but also abroad, Cooperative Minister Kanwaljit Singh said here today.
While talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of an interactive meeting with the progressive potato growers registered with Markfed for EurepGAP certification here today, the Cooperative Minister said the SPV would be set up soon as state government had already passed orders in this regard.
The SPV would work as an advisory group for the farmers. With a single window service, it would not only advise farmers on crop sowing but would also market their products, he added.
Besides, the SPV would also channelise export of different agriculture related products by getting information about the requirements of different foreign countries and by gathering information which transport system would be beneficial for the farmers for export.
